30 Gifts on 30th Bday

One of the highlights on husband’s surprise 30th birthday party was the 30 gifts. I listed all the families and relatives and asked them to give a little something that should be gift-wrapped for husband to open. Yes, just like the 18 gifts or 7 gifts on birthday parties – it was the most fun moment of the celebration.

We were laughing so hard on the different gifts some cousins gave him. One example is the bagoong and kamoteng kahoy, another one is fried chicken neck. As much as I wanted to give him some discount online jewelry, I content myself with giving him his favorite perfume, while the two daughters gave him his favorite brand of underwear and pajama.

Weeks before his birthday, I sent out an invitation to all the family and relatives about our surprise birthday party for husband. It was well kept secret that husband was really caught by surprise! I can’t thank everybody enough in making husband’s 30th birthday very memorable and a very happy one.

One of my favorite picture this year is this – husband’s smiling picture while holding his most prized position as of the moment, RL Polo Black Perfume, my gift on his 30th birthday.

I didn’t imagine he would be so happy upon opening that gift. But since he has been talking about that perfume every time we’re at the mall plus he was always asking for some tester, seems like he really loves that perfume that much! So his wish was my command. I even thought about sending that gift over some padded mailers but since we have to wrap all our gifts and give it personally – I got mine wrapped beautifully for him the night before he turned thirty!

I already have the whole concept in mind and I can’t wait for the actual. I have been thinking about this little surprise since last month and I hope it will push through just as I wanted it all to be.

To start with, I need to ask my daughters for their share. My eldest would be more than glad to share her ideas lately and if she can afford it she will got some of those stuffed cats to make the surprise really successful. I just can’t wait for that big day!

Blogging Couple

When I started blogging a few years back, my husband would often send a separate blog posts for this blog – our couple blog. Quite funny to read how he looks at things differently. After a few push, he started his own blog and now maintains a couple of them. I didn’t imagine he would embrace blogging like I do; he has patience to learn how blogging goes and how the hobby has become one of our ways to earn passively.

Like me, he enjoys blogging other than any other online social media like facebook and twitter for one reason – there’s money in blogging while facebook and twitter only eats up our precious blogging time.
